Sabbath Day Thoughts

Here are a few thoughts for your Sabbath day.

True faith is not believing that everything will work out the way you want it to. True faith is trusting in the Lord's Will, His Power, and His Plan. He knows you a whole lot better than you know yourself. Trust in Him that things will work out in the way they are supposed to. Align your will with His.

“Before we came here, faithful women were given certain assignments while faithful men were foreordained to certain priesthood tasks. While we do not now remember the particulars, this does not alter the glorious reality of what we once agreed to. You are accountable for those things which long ago were expected of you just as are those we sustain as prophets and apostles!”
-President Spencer W. Kimball

There are ships that are tossed in storms on the see. In the darkness they need a lighthouse in order to find the shore. Sometimes the ship is too far in the darkness to even see the light from the lighthouse. The lower lights on the shore will lead those ships to the light of the lighthouse. Be a lower light. Let your light so shine that others will see your good works and will glorify God. Help others to find their way to the light and to the shore.

So, take those as you will. As for me, I am learning to trust in my Heavenly Father more than I ever have before; I was foreordained to be an Oakcrest counselor and I have something to offer; and I need to be a lower light for the girls I have stewardship over, so they can follow the light of Christ.

We are children of the light.

Haven't blogged in two weeks....say what??

My sister graduated from high school this week.

Precamp week done.

Week one. Done.

It was such a hard week.

But the good absolutely outweighed the bad.

I think I made a difference in 7 girls' lives.

I hope so.

I learned a lot about myself.

Believe it or not I didn't gain any weight this week.

It is good to be home for the weekend.

I greatly need the rest.

I also want to say that one of my best friends hit his year mark on his mission today.

Congratulations Elder Michael Jacob Zajac. I'm so proud of you.

Jeepers, I miss him a lot.

I also miss my other missionary friends.

Keep up the good work, guys.
