SPREAD THE WORD
Today is the day. Did you know that by
casually using the word “retarded” to refer to an action as less than ideal you
are making someone with an intellectual disability feel less than human -
whether you mean to or not? Please, don't used the r-word even if you don't mean it in an insulting way. Today is the day to pledge to
spread the word to END THE WORD!
I love that you are putting this cause out there. I look up to you! And because of this--I completely stopped using that word...I shouldn't have been using it in the first place, but it is definitely wrong.
